Artist Studies: Durene JonesAzureKoi Studies DureneJones.jpgPattern Just called 'flower' this design appears to be one of Durene's patterns based on Iznik pottery. A style of ceramics from the 15th-17thC in what is now Turkey. It's always nice to stitch up something symetrical, and this pattern is very nicely mathmatical. Lots of little golden ratios and nice shapes.
Stitch SpotAzureKoi StitchSpot.jpgI'm not fond of stitching in any sort of reclining position. It's straight back, sitting in a computer chair for me. Major drawback to this set up is how easily the dog can get white fur on ev.ery.thing. I do a few other crafts so I figured I'd show the entire space.
Topsy TurvyAzureKoi TopsyTurvy.jpgI'm pretty dyslexic so it's a random toss which way I'll end up doing the x's of my projects. So I did a tent stitch for the first time on 28 count aida. Have been meaning to use the 28 count with a tent stitch to make a biscornu but have yet to get around to it. Learned that I need to be more strategic about where my stitches go to make the back look less of a mess. It's a very smol thing because I only had a tiny number of brain cells this month. Stash SystemDiscovered organization inspiration:Stitchbow System I have always wanted to do my stash up with the Stitchbow system. It's little long sticks you hook the floss on with plastic fold out sheets that hold them. I just love the idea of being able to flip through all the colors.
