Aria Tealeaf is a full halfling but because of an ear deformity, they are shaped more like human ears. From this physical deformity, she is constantly mistaken as a human child, when she is actually a young adult woman. Aria is a mere 3 feet tall. Her parents live a humble life in the country side, tending a small pub, in which Aria would help at. She became progressively more interested in the outside world with the travelers that would stop in at the pub. Learning self defense and how to kick out rowdy drunks was part of the job at the pub, also swiping coin and other trinkets from well paying travelers and drunken villagers pockets because they wouldn't miss a few coins here and there didn't hurt either. (Though her parents didn't know she was doing that part.) A few years have passed since then and Aria has been wandering from place to place, surviving on swiping gold pouches from wealthy pockets. Her preference is to not harm anyone but more then one occasion, bandits and thugs made a mistake by crossing her. Sewing and stitching was a skill she picked up from her mother. Frequently mending her clothes and making cute designs just for fun, that is how Aria stumbled across the guild. Nothing more then a whisper, she heard people talking about and decided to take a peek for herself.

Artist Studies: Durene JonesCuteteahoru Studies DureneJones.jpg2 over 1. Black backstitching was 1 over 1. Yellow backstitching was 2x1. 18 count aida.[1]Oh boy. This cute little penguin was a time. Backstitching is something that I need to learn patience for. I was also formally introduced to fractional stitches, which were fun! It is nice to see how the back stitching can really make a pattern pop.
Stitch SpotCuteteahoru StitchSpot.jpgIt's a bit of a mess but it's an organized mess. Also, you get to see how much of an anime weeb I am.
Topsy TurvyCuteteahoru TopsyTurvy.jpgI usually stitch right / to left \ but when I switched it... my brain had a very hard time adjusting to it when starting the stitch project, once I got the first colour down, it was getting easier but I would still catch myself doing it my usual way and would have to go back and fix it. What I learned is I don't like changing the way I stitch! :'D Pattern

Artist Studies: Ink CirclesCuteteahoru Studies InkCircles.jpgHonestly, none of the patterns super interested me. This one stood out the most. With the light variegated thread on the purple aida, it looks nice. Still yet to be finished.
Blackwork ResearchResearched Blackwork and discovered:The pattern I choose is Meander Free by Elizabeth Almond from her website Blackwork Journey. This pattern really caught my eye with the flower pattern complenting the bold black and grey cross stitch blocks. It shows that you don't have to have a full blocked cross stitch to be an eye catching project!
