|Design: Inspired by Color||Lilys inspired by MistressMittens palette|
|Stitch Spot||My desk is my gaming, working, and stitching area. Thankfully I have a really good chair and the entire windowsill on my right (barely out of view here, I'm set up in a corner) is full of plants when I want a different view. I also like stitching outside! The little blue Ghibli bag is my go (stitching) bag. When I have bigger projects, I set up a TV tray on my left. Kitties like that spot, too.|
|Topsy Turvy||I first posted with a single color and how I rotated the canvas. I continued to stitch in single colors but I also completed this project with my right, non-dominant hand. Whitney from Animal Crossing, pattern by me.|
|Stash System||Discovered organization inspiration:||Stitch bow inserts I thought this looked nicely organized, though it's not something I would do (I'm an order by colors, not numbers person).|
|Revisit a UFO||I had a LOT of extra time to stitch this month.
Left: 6 May. Right: 28 May.Pattern
|Take Inventory||Took inventory of their stash:||Swatch Spreadsheet - I currently only have 1 type of fabric (white Aida 18ct, dye as needed), 1 type of plastic (white 14ct), and my purchased patterns list is small enough that they are still happy in their single folder with previews. So I figured I'd start planning out those swatches from a previous quest! I've checked off every color I have and will fill the box in completely as I make the swatch.|
|Unconventional Canvas||I had a fig leaf drying flat for a few weeks but it curled up. I walked outside and picked up a few things for some new thread and canvas!|
|Scissor Soiree||Clockwise, starting at the minis: eyebrows, general purpose, patterns/cross stitch, amazing fabric scissors by Kai for lefties!|
|Prepare to Dye||I love creating colorful stuff! I dye stuff several times a year so I used what I already had on hand.
Top: 134 yards of B5200 thread dyed variegated shades of bright red to brown-maroon. This will be used for the Calamity Ganon tapestry.Bottom: I've been anxiously waiting for fabric to start my projects but I have not received them yet. I made up a new one so I could stitch! Seasonal Stardew Valley biscornu! 18ct white Aida. Various shades of yellow to green for spring, mostly solid green with a hint of navy for summer, scrunched up warm colors for fall, and one gently scrunched in shades of blue for winter.
|Blackwork Research||Researched Blackwork and discovered:||I've been interested in blackwork but I just haven't set aside time for it yet. I found these two little sets of patterns that I thought were a great step into blackwork. Peppermint Purple's Year of Blackwork There is a link on this page to a Facebook group where the newest pattern is posted for free. I feel that any pattern could be taken individually to try out. And Circles Sampler Blackwork Pattern This link is to a set of 16 different types of blackwork in small circles, so each can be done individually to try!|
|Project Projection||These are my current projects.
BoTW Tapestry: This will take forever, but I'm excited about it! FFIS (Final Fantasy Island Sanctuary): I'm still working on the pattern design for this one, but I can't wait to get stitching! Wheel (Wheel of the Year patterns): This folder stays in my WIP section as I work on ones when I have the energy. I hope to have all 8 done and framed within a few years. Slime Rancher: One of my charity quilt pieces. This will be done in a few weeks.I'll make a few magnets and such along the way for those happy, quick project moments!
|Stitch Spot - Away From Home||I love camping with my in-laws and I often bring stuff to stitch or draw during the hot or rainy parts of the day in the camper. :)|
